SECUMEDI is a next-generation Zero-Trust surveillance platform enterprise pursuing the flawless convergence of physical security (surveillance) and cybersecurity (hacking prevention). The company aims to resolve high costs, manual searches, and hacking vulnerabilities, which have been chronic limitations of the conventional surveillance market. It was founded in August 2023 by CEO YoonChan Eom (37), who brings over 10 years of robust expertise in IT business platform planning and artificial intelligence.

The company's flagship item is ‘SECUNEP’, an intelligent All-in-One surveillance solution. SECUMEDI has independently developed Edge-AI-based NVR equipment that actively detects real-time AI algorithms—such as intrusion, loitering, fire, and fainting—the moment a camera is connected. Integrated into this single platform are a Vision-Language Model (VLM)-driven generative AI conversational search engine, an active PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) control middleware that automatically tracks targets without blind spots when an incident occurs, and a blockchain-based video access control and leak prevention technology.

SECUMEDI commands three major hyper-gap competitive advantages. First is cost innovation. By operating directly on the NVR equipment itself without the need for expensive GPU-powered AI analysis servers that cost tens of millions of won, the company slashes implementation costs by over 50%.

Second is search and surveillance innovation. Instead of meticulously scouring hundreds of hours of video timelines, operators can simply type a natural language query like, “Find the worker in red clothing who collapsed”, and the system retrieves the exact footage within a mere 3 seconds. Furthermore, the system monitors all camera spaces 24/7 without gaps; the moment an accident event is triggered, the camera autonomously zooms in and tracks the scene, guaranteeing high-precision surveillance results.

Third is security innovation. To mitigate the vulnerability where conventional RTSP-based IP cameras are left defenseless against external networks, SECUMEDI introduced a Zero-Trust authentication gateway. This system permits video streaming only after a user strictly proves their authorized status via blockchain-based DID (Decentralized Identifier). Dynamic access privileges are granted exclusively to authorized personnel whose identities are completely verified through the blockchain network. Moreover, all video access logs are distributed and stored on a blockchain ledger, rendering it impossible for hackers or malicious insiders to delete or manipulate logs, effectively neutralizing any video leak attempts.

SECUMEDI plans to pioneer its sales channels through a three-stage strategic roadmap. Stage 1 is the Market Entry phase, where the company will conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) testing in remote and mountainous industrial complexes across Gangwon Province—which often suffer from a shortage of management personnel—to secure vital on-site data.

Stage 2 is the Growth phase. Upon acquiring KISA (Korea Internet & Security Agency) performance certification, the company plans to be designated under the Public Procurement Service’s Venture Nara and Excellent Product programs to supply local governments and public institutions nationwide (B2G).

Stage 3 is the Expansion phase, where the company will target large-scale private logistics centers and construction sites (B2B), supplying its generative AI search features under a monthly subscription (SaaS) model.

Led by CEO Eom, who spearheads the platform architecture and business models, SECUMEDI is built upon a core team of three highly specialized software developers. They are respectively dedicated to Edge-AI model lightweight optimization, VLM-based video-text embedding, and blockchain security architecture combined with active PTZ control middleware. By internalizing 100% of these core technologies without outsourcing, the company has maximized both development speed and security integrity.

Regarding future roadmaps, CEO Eom stated, “In the short term, our milestones are to acquire the KISA Intelligent CCTV Performance Certification and Good Software (GS) Certification, alongside completing successful on-site PoCs. Our long-term objective is to establish SECUMEDI as the global standard for next-generation Zero-Trust surveillance platforms, where everything from camera connection to AI analysis and ironclad security is fully resolved within a single, unified system.”
